This little gem is a protest against Idea-theft and Art theft in general. Why? because my friend
suffers from these both for a few months now and it wonīt stop. Art theft in general is a big problem here on the internet and I wanted to make it clear that it is a crime. I was inspirated to this picture by a huge case of stealing intelectual property, the hole idea, even the whole composition was stolen and it was silently accepted because the thief was simply more popular here on dA than the original creator of the idea. I said to myself when I heard from my friend about this case: "well , ask her friendly why she did something like that and ask her just to give credit to the person who had the original idea. No big deal at all! No need of reporting!"
well. but it wasnīt that easy.
Here is the picture that my friend Evomanaphy drew on June 6, 2012 [link]
And then look at this picture , drawn by Kp-shadowsquirrel, drawn on january 27, 2013 [link]
Itīs basically the same picture, isnīt it?
So my friend tried to talk with her about all the similarities, that itīs basically the same picture, just drawn in different styles and if she could possibly give her credit. But guess what? The thief just started to make fun out of her, saying that she isnīt as popular as her and so nobody would call her a thief, even if she stole the concept etc. She even said that she would send her watchers to shitstorm my friend to death if she would report her picture. Nice talk, huh?
I followed the whole thing and I AM NOT OKAY with this. People are stealing other peopleīs Ideas and concepts and think it would be okay just because theyīre more dA-famous than the original creator!
This was the short version of the whole story, I created this little picture to show you that if you just change a few little details (I needed about 5 minutes for this) than you have basically the same picture, only in a different style.
I hope you excuse my grammar mistakes, this is not ment as an art theft, just as a little protest. Judge me after reading the whole text!
, if you have any questions left, feel free to ask me!
Thank you all for reading this!
